Class – Self-Publish Your Book with KDP Amazon
- 3-week Course Description: KDP Amazon is a popular and inexpensive method by which authors can self-publish their books. This is a hands-on intensive class where Rose will walk you through setting up your Amazon account, and upload your print book and/or ebook if they are ready to go, or get you started if you are still working on them. Also covered: understanding Amazon reports and marketing Options; using Microsoft Word for formatting print and ebooks; using KDP or MS Office for cover creation; determining how much you should charge; and keywords and categories for advertising on Amazon. Solar Fiesta! Organized by the New Mexico Solar Energy Association as an adjunct of the American Solar Energy Society’s Annual Conference, this one day event set at the University of New Mexico campus featured presentations and demonstrations on many aspects of solar and sustainable living. Rose Kern from Solar Ranch in association with Luther Kreiger from the Big Blue Museum of Solar Cooking held cooking demonstrations all day with over a dozen different kinds of solar cookers including the mammoth Solar Villager.
From the Ground Up: Seeds to Solar Ovens is the focus of an online discussion sponsored by the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos, NM. The panel features experts in gardening and solar cooking including our own Rose Marie Kern. The Class will cover: Commercial and homebuilt types of Solar Ovens, How to position the ovens, How to anticipate the weather and which foods can be cooked in partly cloudy conditions.
